Trained in classical fine arts, Kim Taylor Reece, is Hawaii’s foremost fine art photographer. He has worked with the hula kahiko for over thirty years. Kim envisions the mystery and magic of this dance, which for generations, has excited the imaginations of people around the world.
Kim’s award winning art photography has brought him worldwide recognition. His images have been acquired by collectors, dignitaries and museums internationally.
His images evoke feelings from long ago; when dancers were of an elite class and carried the task of perpetuating the history and legends of the islands.
Kim Taylor Reece works with dancers to capture the subtleties of this art form and fulfill a vision that has inspired him.
